We all know that the weather conditions during the winter in Massachusetts can be brutal, and often your home is the only escape from these frigid temperatures. If your traditional forced-air furnace system isn't keeping your home at a comfortable temperature, a radiant floor heating system might be worth your attention.

It's a known fact that heat rises, so with a forced-air furnace system, some of the heat produced becomes trapped near the ceilings of the rooms throughout your home. Not only is this inefficient, but you can experience variances in the temperature throughout your home with a forced-air furnace. Radiant floor heating, on the other hand, can help your home maintain a uniform temperature by heating the floor, which ultimately causes the heat to rise throughout the rooms of your home to create a cozy and comfortable environment.
While a radiant floor heating system may require more of an investment on the front end than a forced-air furnace system, it will require less maintenance, use less energy and will typically last significantly longer. These cost savings alone make a radiant floor heating system a more economical solution.
Other benefits of radiant floor heating include the feasibility of extending this technology throughout your home to accommodate an addition and improved air quality. (Forced-air furnace systems tend to distribute dust, pollen and other unwanted debris throughout your home, which negatively affect the air quality.)
